New possibilities
Recently, Italian case-law is gradually moving toward a more liberal approach when adjudicating whether a foreign act or court order runs afoul to Public Policy.
Studiodonne can help you take advantage of the relatively more liberal laws of the United States and achieve your goals in compliance with the foreign law while being able to have the foreign acts given full faith and credit in Italy.
Specifically, our points of contact in New York are: Mr. David A. Newberg, Esq. and Mr. Lorenzo Venditti, Esq. The latter is an attorney licensed to practice law in Italy and New York. Our firm has a 5+-year relationship with Mr. Venditti. Indeed, before he relocated to the USA for attending Harvard Law School, Mr. Venditti and our firm have successfully worked together on several international private law cases.
The Hague Convention
Under the The Hague Convention on the Apostille, certain foreign acts, decrees, or orders are given full faith and credit in foreign Jurisdictions. Thus, inter alia, Marriage Certificates, Birth Certificates, Adoption Orders, and the like are generally given full faith and credit abroad.
Vis-à-vis the above-referenced matters, Studiodonne has established a relationship with a leading and well respected New York law firm: Collier Halpern & Newberg, LLP.
Collier, Halpern & Newberg, LLP is able to act as our local counsel in North America and provide its services to our clients so as to make sure that the foreign acts, decrees, certificates, proceedings, and the like are compliant with all pertinent Italian and American rules and regulations.
